Who makes our gear
We partner with The Print Bar (based in Brisbane & Melbourne) for production. They’re a quality-first print house with clear sustainability practices across inks, packaging, recycling and responsible sourcing.
Materials & Blanks
Most YGC garments are printed on premium blanks from AS Colour and similar suppliers that publish detailed information about their supply chain, factory standards and fibre sourcing (including participation in better cotton initiatives and independent audits).
- Long-lasting, print-ready fabrics designed for comfort and durability.
- Transparent supplier information and ongoing ethical compliance programs.
Inks & Printing
Where design and fabric allow, our supplier prioritises water-based inks for reduced volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and a softer hand-feel. For certain applications (e.g., high opacity on dark garments, specialty finishes or headwear), methods such as DTF, screen printing or embroidery are used to meet durability and colour goals while minimising waste through right-sized runs.
Embroidery Threads
When we embroider, The Print Bar uses high-quality threads (including cellulose-based rayon options) chosen for their finish and longevity.
Packaging & Waste
- FSC-certified kraft mailers & cartons where possible, supporting responsibly managed forests.
- In-house recycling of soft plastics and paper to reduce landfill.
- Textile recycling pathways via partners such as Upparel for end-of-life garments.
On-Demand Ethic
We produce to order wherever possible—so we don’t overprint or overstock. You get fresh garments, and we avoid unnecessary waste from bulk runs.
Community & Industry Standards
The Print Bar is active in the Australian print and merchandise community, aligning with industry standards and supporting local projects. This helps ensure consistent quality, safety and ethical practice across our supply chain.
What this means for you
- Quality you can wear more: durable blanks + the right print method extend garment life.
- Lower-impact prints: water-based inks used wherever they suit the fabric and finish.
- Responsible packaging: FSC materials and in-house recycling as standard.
- Clear sourcing signals: suppliers who publish their standards and supply-chain details.
