Donation Tracker

We promised mental health with no BS, so that includes the money stuff too.

You Good? Clothing is a social enterprise based in Queensland, Australia. Every drop is made to spark real “You good?” conversations, and 25% of our net sales revenue (sales price - production costs) is donated to grassroots Australian mental health organisations. This page is where we keep track of those donations.

We are still at the start of our journey, which means the numbers will grow over time. Instead of waiting until everything is “perfect”, we are choosing to be transparent from day one and bring you along for the ride.

We’ll publish dates, amounts, and proof here each time a donation is made.

The Detail

How our donations work

We keep it simple so you know what is happening behind the scenes.

  • You place an order
  • We pay our direct product costs (printing, blanks, packing and fulfilment)
  • We calculate the donation from that sale (before our overheads)

Donation formula:
(Product price − product cost) × 25% = amount donated
We set that amount aside for donation

At least once every three months, we send the pooled total to one or more grassroots Aussie mental health organisations

Each time we make a donation, we will update this page with:

  • Who we donated to
  • How much we donated
  • A short summary of what they do

Why 25% of Revenue?

We picked 25% because we wanted it to be big enough to matter and small enough to keep the lights on.

A lot of “cause” brands promise a dollar here or a vague “portion of proceeds” there. We wanted to set a clear number that we can stick to long term. Twenty five per cent of profits is a serious chunk for a small business, but it feels like the right balance between:

  • Keeping the brand alive and growing
  • Actually putting money back into mental health support
  • Being honest about what we can sustainably commit to

As the brand grows and we learn more, we will keep reviewing this and talking openly about how it is going.

Our goal is to increase our donation amount to 50% of revenue by December 2026.

Where your money goes

We focus on grassroots Australian mental health organisations. That means the people who are on the ground running groups, answering phones, sitting in community halls and showing up in the messy bits of real life.

We prioritise organisations that:

  • Are based in Australia
  • Support mental health, suicide prevention, or related community wellbeing
  • Have a clear, practical impact (programs, services, groups, support)
  • Are transparent about how they use funds
  • Often miss out on big flashy funding, but make a real difference locally

We are especially interested in projects that are:

  • Community led
  • Lived experience informed
  • Regional or rural
  • Focused on connection, safety and early support

You will see those values reflected in who we choose to support.

Our donation timeline

We are a brand new social enterprise, so our first donation is scheduled for February 2026. From there, we aim to donate at least once every three months.

How we choose who to support

We do not pick names out of a hat.

When we are deciding where to send the next donation, we look at things like:

  • Alignment with our values
Do they support mental health, connection, suicide prevention or community wellbeing in a way that fits “You good?” energy?
  • Grassroots impact
Are they close to the people they support? Are they running real programs, groups or services?
  • Transparency and trust
Do they clearly explain what they do and how donations are used?
  • Community voice and lived experience
Are people with lived experience involved, listened to or leading the work?

We also listen to our community. If there is a local organisation that has had your back, we want to hear about them.

How we report back

Every time we make a donation, we will:

  • Update this page with the organisation name and amount
  • Add a logo and link to our home page (with the org's permission)
  • Share a post on our socials so you can see where the money went
  • Keep a running total so over time you can see the impact grow

Where possible, we will also share:

  • Links to the organisation’s website
  • A short description in their words
  • Any updates or stories they are happy for us to pass on

We never share private or identifying stories without consent. This page is about transparency and accountability, not trauma.

Donation FAQs

What do you mean by “net revenue after product costs”?

It’s what’s left from your purchase after we pay the direct cost to make the item (blank garment, printing, and fulfilment/shipping costs we’re charged). We then donate 25% of that net amount, not 25% of the full sale price.

Do all products count towards donations?

Yes. Every product you see on yougoodclothing.com.au is part of our 25% profit donation commitment, unless we clearly say otherwise on the product page.

How often do you donate?

We aim to donate at least once every three months. If there is a period with higher profits or a time when support is urgently needed, we may donate more often.

Can I see proof of donations?

Yes. For each donation, we will add a summary to this page and where possible we will share screenshots, receipts or confirmation from the organisation. Some details may be blurred for privacy, but we will always show that the donation was made.

Can I nominate an organisation?

Absolutely. If there is a grassroots mental health or community wellbeing organisation close to your heart, you can nominate them using our contact form. Tell us who they are, where they are and why they matter to you.

Do you ever donate outside of Australia?

Right now, our focus is on Australian organisations. If you know of an organisation outside of Australia that is deserving of a charitable donation, please reach out through our nomination form, and we will absolutely consider them.

You Good? Clothing only works because of the people wearing it, sharing it and asking “You good?” like they mean it.

Thanks for being one of them.
